Poteet ISD would like to congratulate Andy Castillo for being named Interim Superintendent effective June 22, 2009.
Mr. Castillo is currently the high school principal and will be performing both job responsibilities.

Mario Heredia has been named as the new Athletic Director/Head Football Coach for the Poteet Independent School District.
Mr. Heredia is coming to Poteet ISD from Southwest Independent School District.
We look forward to a winning season.

Poteet ISD has named Sharon Neumann as the Assistant Principal for Poteet High School.
Mrs. Neumann has formerly been a teacher and coach and also performed duties as the Learning Community Specialist.

FFA STATE
Congratulations to Alexandra Pennock and Morgan Wagner for receiving State FFA Scholarships.
Alexandra received a $15,000.00 scholarship from the Houston Livestock Show Association and Morgan Wagner received a $10,000.00 scholarship from Dick Wallrath.
The students had to qualify in many areas of FFA in order to be considered for these state level scholarships.
Congratulations on a great accomplishment.

AT STATE COMPETITION
Adam Hebert has made the AGGIES PROUD!
Adam had outstanding results at state.
He won the gold in the long jump and the 200 meter. He also won a silver in the 100 meter.
We look forward to Adam's continued success in college.

SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM
JUNE 9 - JULY 3, 2009
The summer meal program will take place at the central cafeteria. All children of the community, ages 1 to 18 years of age are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch.
Breakfast will be served from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m.
Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
No food may be taken out of the cafeteria, except for fresh fruit.
*If there is enough food for visitors, a meal can be purchased for $3.00.
