Questions and Answers

Q. Are we able to use your lift or do we need to rent our own.

A. You will be required to provide your own lift for any work that you do requiring a lift.

Q. I would like to request a list of companies that attended mandatory pre-bid meeting for Poteet ISD, Video Surveillance System
A. If you would like a copy of this document please feel free to email me a request for it.

Q: Do we need to cover the floor in the gym or other areas when bringing in a lift (if required)?
A: If the lift has rubber padding then no covering will be needed, however if not then a cover protecting the flooring will be required.

Q: What Cisco model switches do you plan to use for the cameras?  Do they support IGMP multicast?
A: Currently we have Cisco WS-C2950SX switch’s in the rooms that do not support multicasting or have POE. If you feel that these switches do not meet your needs then you will need to provide your own managed enterprise level switch.

Q: Please clarify the recording/storage of video.  The RFP states 30 FPS, 30 days and 100% motion.  30 FPS, 30 days and 30-50% motion is more realistic and would save the school terabytes of storage space.
A: We are looking for 30 FPS, 30 days with 100% motion.

Q: Where is the main NOC for the District?
A: This is located in the central office building.

Q: Can you describe by room #’s where the MDF and IDFs are located for the High School and Junior High?
A: Each campus only has one MDF located within the building. At the High School this is the Network room located off the main office and has a single 2-Post Rack. At the Junior High this is the Network room located of the Cafeteria and has a single 2-Post Rack.
